Hog wild in the woods! Well, they really aren't that wild. As you can see they enjoy getting their bellies rubbed! Our pigs live a luxurious life, freely wandering and digging in forest duff for acorns, worms, grubs and understory plant life.
Protected from the intense heat of the southern sun by the shade of trees our pigs don't require a wallow, instead they enjoy doing what comes naturally - rooting!
Our breeding stock is of all heritage breeds including the critically endangered Large Black and Ossabaw Island bloodlines not to mention the Berkshire, Duroc and Tamworth. By maintaining these diverse bloodlines we are helping to ensure these lines of pork remain viable into the future. Yes, they do grow more slowly .... but they taste sooooo good!
